GSE Bulletin No 66

CRAFT GRAND INSTALLATION – USGC DELEGATION.  The First Grand Principal and Grand Master has been invited to bring a Delegation of Mark & Royal Arch Masons to the Craft Grand Installation to be held at the Sydney Town Hall on Saturday, 4th August 2018 commencing at 1.00pm

Members of the Chapter Delegation would need to assemble at 12 noon for the purpose of getting organised, regaling and having an official photo taken of the Delegation by the Craft photographer.

The First Grand Principal and Grand Master has determined that any member of our Order may join his Delegation irrespective of rank.  This means any Companion is welcome to enter with the First Grand Principal and Grand Master.  Most Ex Comp Peattie would like all Companions to have the opportunity of experiencing this unique event and be part of the proceedings.

GRAND CONVOCATION ON SATURDAY 18th AUGUST 2018.  Companions are reminded that the Grand Convocation will be held on Saturday, 18th August 2018 commencing at 2pm.  The Friends of the Egyptian Room will provide a light lunch from 12.30pm onwards at a cost of $10 per person.

This will be a special occasion for a number of reasons. It will be the last general Convocation presided over by Most Excellent Companion Peattie.  In addition, the current Grand Banner of the Order which has served us well for almost 40 years will be retired and the three Grand Chaplains will consecrate and dedicate a new Grand Banner for the Order.  This is indeed a rare event and one not to be missed.

FRIENDS OF THE EGYPTIAN ROOM RAFFLE.   The Friends of the Egyptian Room some time ago have distributed the annual raffle tickets which will be drawn at the Grand Convocation Banquet on 9th September 2018.

Once again Ex Comp Tom Muir has donated a magnificent prize from his business Morpeth Antique Jewellery where he specialises in Masonic jewellery.  On this occasion Ex Comp Muir has donated something for him and her in the form of a first prize consisting of a men’s and ladies gold watches valued at about $3,000.00.

Scribes are asked to please use their best efforts to sell the tickets and return the butts to Mrs Gaille Bowe, the Secretary of the Committee.

AN APPRECIATION DINNER WILL BE HELD FOR MOST EXCELLENT COMPANION ROBERT PEATTIE on Saturday 20th October.  There will be a three course dinner with drinks and entertainment. A date claimer is attached to this bulletin and further information will follow.
